Good News!!
Lots of good news this month for the Christmas day outreach babies, their mothers and their families.

The pic is Adi, who in December had arrived to hosptial suffering from a complication of pregnancy induced coma. She had her baby delivered while she was in that coma, and then post delivery, she was at risk of dying in ICU level care there in Rwanda, Africa. Now 2 months later, Adi is holding her baby and is being discharged from hospital to home and doing well. Once Adi is home, Early Lift home liason Christine will follow up with her in support of life at home, will be sharing the Gospel with Adi and her family, providing the family with a Bible of their own, and by being the hands and feet of Jesus as servant, friend, come along side helper and guide.

This pic shows mothers helped by the Christmas Day outreach, standing together with their Bibles provided by Early Lift. The bible study with these ladies is underway now..
On going pray and financial needs are:
-For Baby Adoni to have a cardiology consult this month since he was born prematurely, is still on oxygen and most likely has a heart defect. Early Lift is still supporting Adoni's hospital bill payment, the cost of his formula and the cost of food for his mother who is present and supportive of him in hospital. The need is approximately $300 for each month he remains in the hospital. This figure may change depending on surgical need or other needs after his cardiology evaluation.
The mother who's premature baby died in hosptial back in December and then Early Lift helped with hosptial expenses and funeral arrangement costs is involved with Bible study now . She also started her own business selling charcoal in her community and sellng donuts to a local boutique. Her businesses are still at a start up level. She knows she needs more income to be self suoporting so she plans to add several other parts to her business that require initial investment of $400.
Early Lift community liaison, Christina, is busy visiting each in hospital mother/baby pair as well as visiting their family at home every 2-3 days. From the visits, Christina learns of each need, gives words of encouragement, prays with them and is Jesus's direct hands of service. This is Christina's passion and she also finds time to assist with Bible Study. Her travel and facilitation costs are running $150-$200 per month right now.
Bibles to family members has been a very well received part of Early Lift's post Christmas Day outreach. We have need for 17 more Bibles at a cost of $120 total.
Three students who are part of our post Christmas Day Outeach family are going to school now. So far, the student's school fees have not been paid due to family hospital bills and loss of income associated with having had a prematurely born baby join their family. The students fees are $480 total.
Purchase of a sewing machine, cloth and other supplies at cost estimated at $2000 will help multiple outreach families on their path to being financially self sustaining again. Making clothing and other items to sell and for their own family, will bring such a sense of God empowering his children right here, right now.
Your support of prayer is invaluable as Early Lift co-founders Drs Patrick and Marie are there in Rwanda finishing their pediatric residency training, they oversee the ministry of Early Lift in country and, Dr Marie is 35 weeks along in her own pregnancy.
Prayer for someone to join Early Lift's team who is seasoned at support and donor raising.
Prayer for me, Dr Eddie, as I work to lead Early Lift as Jesus would have it be done.
As they would say in Rwanda, Murakoza cyane ( thank you so very much)
Dr. Eddie
Ongoing needs are:
Money to continue support of prematurely born baby with a congential heart defet who is still in hospital awaiting
